I wonder, how could you go about this? Remember, the purpose of this thinking routine is to connect one’s initial understandings to new thinking after learning some information. When new information is gained, bridges are built that connect new ideas to prior understanding. The new experiences take our thinking in new directions.

The power of this thinking routine is in the creation of bridges. The choice of words, questions and metaphors used to describe the change in thinking demonstrates the level of understanding that has taken place. Fitness is like a turtle, if you stay in your shell and don’t put any effort, you won’t go anywhere, but if you stick your head and legs and put some effort, you can move anywhere you want.

Synthesizing of New Information
Fitness is being healthy in regards to physical activity due to the ability to perform exercise, good diet and nutrition, body shape, etc. As The United States Department of Health and Human Services puts it, fitness is “a set of attributes that people have or achieve that relates to the ability to perform physical activity”. It isn’t only about being able to lift a lot of weight or run for a long time, but also about many different aspects, such as cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition and flexibility. You can maintain lifelong health by exercising regularly in order to improve all of those 5 aspects. In regards to our personal fitness and health, it is entirely our responsibility maintain it since only we can exercise our own bodies to improve and stay healthy. In order to reach my personal fitness goals, I should vary my exercises to encompass more kinds of fitness and keep in mind my diet. I should also avoid skipping days so I don’t get into a pattern. I should try to go to the gym as often as I can and not start skipping just because I have a lot of school work. Health is important because it is your ability as a human being to perform what you want to do.

  1. I think that this post is good because it makes you think on the questions that you asked in the post. I think that it is great who the teachers and the students are using there responses to thinking routine because they are thinking in different routines and they are using the 3-2-1 Bridge to help them.
